So this was meant to be a New Years post, but of course things get busy, especially in the 'down time' , you know, that time you are meant to be relaxing and not doing much at all. I got busy.
Last year was a big one for me, it was a lot about marketing and setting up my business, but to be honest it felt like I did more talking about it than doing it... so you want to be a wedding photographer heh? It would seem in 2013 that is what I will be. I am so lucky to have met the most awesome-est of awesome couples, I am the broken record 'geez that wedding photographer is lucky!'. The phonecalls go like, 'Hi, we love your images, can you shoot our wedding? it will be rustic and vintage, in vineyard' Me: 'Yah' *do a little dance.
Ok, so taking me to gorgeous locations is one perk, but the best treat; beautiful honest happiness all round.
Bring it on 2013.
This post is also entitled YIKES. I love my blogging but am already two fab weddings into January and behind. So I swear on my Jose Villa bible that I will blog. I may not be able to blog everything, I won't have the time to tinker, but I will endeavor to bring you gorgeous images, and if you are planning your wedding day you can follow me here. It may not be a southern Californian wedding from a blog somewhere. It will be a gorgeous Wagga Wagga Wedding, or Coolamon, or Temora..or ...
Cheers and happy (belated) new year x

oh baby
Its such a magic time of year at the best of times, but this next little session was brimming with warm fuzzies. That first baby remember?. .the little conversations you have with your unborn child the soft, quiet time. Its pure and absorbing love.
Ali and Matt also happen to be the first to purchase a watch me grow session.. more on that later, but to give you a hint this is part 1 of a beautiful love story x
I met first time parents to be Matt and Ali who traveled over to meet me at dusk on top of a hill with a pink chaise lounge. Oh yes baby, I LOVE this gal, so much so that I may have broken my all time record of how many conversations I can have at once without even finishing a single sentence!

Scott + Carrie
Love living in the bush. This country wedding, my 'Cowgirl meets Cowboy story', was complete with hats and horses, it was a lot of fun. I expected nothing less from Carrie and Scott..remember? The day was perfect, the bride gorgeous, the groom at his best, the sunshine, and the stars all in alignment.
enjoy x

Matt + Georgina get married
It seems like some time ago that I first met Matt and Georgina on a balmy Autumn evening in their leafy little part of Melbourne. Their beautiful country wedding, the 'perfect day' finally arrived, and I loved every minute of it. So in no particular order, some thanks..
To the parents of the bride for providing the wonderful backdrop of their property and homestead.
To the most magical weather available.
To harvest season, and to farmers who will take a day off for important occasions.
To the guests who came suitably attired to have a very very good time.
To the gorgeous bride (with that dress.. the birdcage veil.. need I go on?) and her fun girls.
Thank you also to the groom and grooms men, for their entertaining pre-wedding shenanigans, also known as 'how to tie a bowtie'...
Thank you, thank you for the confetti, the laughter and love.
Not forgetting a big personal thanks to my lovely Jen Boote for her assistance second shooting, couldn't have been in two places without you, I really loved having you around.
Ok, then lets re-live it, this was one pretty perfect day..

Mino + Stacey
I was so lucky to share a very special day recently not far from home in the little town of Coolamon NSW for the wedding of Stace and Mino.
* note, thats not his real name, but it would seem noone answered to Michael or knew who you were talking to.
hmmmm, what I want to say about this couple is hard to express, its a bit gooey, but the couple who can't keep their eyes off each other, the total madness of love, lets just say if I could sing, and sing soulfully this would be my song choice.. Nothings real but the love (I'll just hum it)
Two madly in love people, some special little flower girls, a glowing matron of honor with the cutest of cute baby bumps, together with all their friends and family, laughter and love, made the story of Mino and Staceys wedding day.
x enjoy (and nothing can beat the love)
