Josh + Cath

Josh and Caths wedding was a day that I was so thankful to have been asked to capture. A typically gorgeous  Australian country wedding. Country people, fresh country air and a monumental amount of country fun.  I always have a fair idea after meeting a couple of what their day will be like, but I secretly will admit to being a little surprised when this particular hard working country lad rocked a little bit of 'suspender belt style', matching his gorgeous bride, making for a beautiful day to remember.
Needless to say. Country Halls may be the BEST way to do it in the bush, kicking on again at Downside Hall, just north of Wagga Wagga. Heres a snippet of Josh and Caths's  glorious day x enjoy

sweet dreams are made of these

I am so lucky that all the lovely young families that have asked me to take their pictures are not after the traditional 'family portrait' .. you know the ones? Sit and  now smile *awkward.  I much prefer the running and jumping, laughing and playing. That is  Fortunate for me, as I would have stood NO chance of capturing these next two little boys sitting still, not for a micro second. Meet Master 5, he is my best friend. OK so we only met this one time, but I had balloons and lollypops, so I pretty much rocked his world, then there was his little bro who was just as quick on his feet and as equally cute in  the Cute Department.. so much fun, and left me in exhausted bliss. Little wonder their gorgeous Mumma stays in good shape! enjoy

Style ME pretty

A little pat on the back for one year in! It has been a whole year since Peppermint studios came to be and  I am forever grateful to be doing a job I love this much. One year in and my goals and business direction seems to be going full steam ahead, and believe me to anyone who has set up your own small business..you will know, you are so driven by your business goals that it is easy to get caught up in them. For example one of my goals for 2013 was to photograph a wedding and have it appear on Style Me Pretty which is Australia s ultimate wedding blog. There are other things on the list too.. but enough about them.

The moral to the story is this. Other photographers I could try and impress, Style me Pretty (YES PLEASE) or awards and accolades, is all nice. However at the end of the day when I have given all I've got,  I head home and the only ones I want to impress is the couple who just given me the honour of sharing their wedding day, capturing the essence of it.. telling their story.  Just like Leah and Sam, so in love... this image is one of many they can have forever, hopefully their children and grandchildren will enjoy (maybe on micro formatted hologram force fields because a DVD will be a historical relic..but still you know what I mean) it makes me proud to do what I love.
And fun too!! laughing at the super crazy madness getting the bride to the church on time... the story of Leah and Sams day captured forever.

Grateful and blessed AND to top it off now featured on Style Me Pretty, YEEES did a little dance. Many thanks to the lovely and Stylish Georgina and Matt.. you can follow the LINK to see more from that. Meantime let the prettiness continue.  Thank you for reading / following and sharing my images and sending love my way.
enjoy x
