lavender fields

Our lovely Ganmain Show girl winner Miss Shannon was the lucky receiver of a peppermint Studios portrait session, and such a fun time was had. This was also the launch of a new package that is all about  pampering and taking some time out to discover the inner woman... Hair, Make-up, Champagne and glamming it up like a cover girl. We haven't  thought of a suitable name for this package and I am hoping for some suggestions.. Maybe the 'Helena Bonham Carter ala Room with a View' package? ...swoon!... and those lavender fields (Patto.. hmmpphh, we don't know what you mean..)
A huge thank you to the amazing Jacquie at Jacquies on Main in Coolamon, don't forget to like her new facebook page HERE..Jacquie was given the brief and the result was absolutely gorgeous, and can I say a beautiful relaxed 'do' for brides looking for ideas. Thank you also to Jess Roberts for her Makeup, Jess will travel  so if you are looking for someone for your special occasion you can contact Jess at Jacquies.
Last but not least, Shannon, thank you and congratulations. The Ganmain Show would be very proud to have you represent their Show, so lovely to spend time in the fields, you are a beautiful girl

Pip + Evan

Beautiful pip married her man. It was a ridiculously beautiful  day from start to finish,  the bride with her delicously delicate gown ot Italian lace, wearing comfortable heels and flowers in her hair. The retro lads with their raybans and skinny ties, the bridesmaids in  floral frocks and red heels, the wildflowers, and that look on the grooms face when he first saw his bride....Lets just say thank you Ev and Pip for sharing such a beautiful day....and when it was time for me to pack up my kit and leave the party was  really starting to kick in.. Downside Hall you rocked it, thanks again Evan & Pip   enjoy x

slow down.. you move too fast

I gallavanted recently from airport to wedding to commercial shoot, strategically allocating some personal time in  for that 'work life balance' thingy.. I love it, crazily busy and meeting so many amazing people and loving my job. My diary is overflowing; and strategically colour coded so I am super sorted and feel very organised.  Somedays I go too fast. There (ode to my gorgeous Yoga teacher..) I said it. I admit I am having a hundred ideas all at once most days, and so some days its good to slow down. I mean, I do have my greatest ideas when I'm 'not thinking'. Like lightbulb moments at 3.45am when I'm meant to be sleeping, or when I'm helping do  a jigsaw puzzle.

So after another full on week that included a South Yarra wedding to DIE FOR a retro styled E-session, (I'm excited will share soon!) portraits, commercial work, and being a mother .. and being a wife yada yada. It was nice to spend a weekend at home in the sunshine. I am taking a  leaf (a petal) and a Chillax from Miss E, who spent some quality time tree climbing and daisy chain making, blissful see?

I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep, life I love you all is GROOVY. tap your feet clicked HERE

simply being

An inspired day.. a nostalgic dream. I took myself  back in time for this shoot. The dress is circa 1967, the year of my parents wedding, the dress is my mothers, the model is her grand daughter x

from little things.. take two

oh what a wonderful 6 months + a bit I have had. I must say starting your own business overnight and leaving the day job for good was a daunting process, lets say a journey into self belief... I LOVE my photography and I never thought I would be doing it full time, but only because it was 'the fantasy job of my dreams'.. yes its like partying like a rockstar every day, except for the bit where you are editing and doing admin and trying to remember what your password and pulling your hair out because you dont' have a tech person..and learning.. learning .. learning.  APART from that it is fabulous.
So rebranding here I come. I am so lucky to  have had many clients who have signed up for their weddings, and portraits, and given such support to make me want to push myself further, oh the ideas are endless and I get slightly excited thinking of new possiblities.
Enter Peppermint Studios.. because?  Because of many reasons, but mainly for a fresh start .. a celebration of new and exciting things, a world of endless possiblities. I should sing (I am really good at singing in the shower .. for some reason without the steam and bathroom acoustics...hmmm not so good)
So peppermint is my current happiness, and a work in progress, I even labored over a new website which you can check out  HERE ...and like a little acorn, has started from little things.
Thank you to all those lovelies for your support. thanks a million x t

all the pennies in the wishing well..

To say you have been blessed to have children is such an understatement. To have a house buzzing with such an abundance of energy, laughter and love is something we sometimes take for granted. I think it gets kind of crazily mixed up with picking up toys and wiping up the left over mushy weetbix off the kitchen bench..
Still, it is amazing how the sound of a childs laughter can erase all memory of the sleepless night, or the sticky fingered ambush of your favorite beige woolen scarf.. It is all erased with just one look.
What would we be without our parents love? it shapes us and makes us.
The laughter the smiles and the hugs (a nuzzle) .. for all the pennies, you wouldn't change it.

Giving it and getting it. The following family session had me thinking... like a ray of sunshine and playing bed bugs on a Saturday morning, this was all before we even went out on our portrait shoot.
Here is a snippet of a 'day in the life'.A life session ... stay tuned for MORE
